STRENGTHENING RURAL INNOVATION THROUGH COLLABORATION!

The BECEE project is delighted to highlight the ongoing collaboration with ENTIRE – European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) and Dungarvan Enterprise Centre (DEC), who are exploring the concept of developing Dungarvan and West Waterford as an Ecosystem for Rural Transformation, Innovation, and Enterprise Development.

A focus group session took place on Wednesday, 24 September 2025 (at the Dungarvan Enterprise Centre, bringing together local actors, researchers, and innovators to shape the future of the region.

The initiative aims to:

 Leverage digital technologies such as AI, IoT, and smart networks,

 Support micro-enterprises, SMEs, and public sector organizations,

 Foster competitiveness, sustainability, and job creation.

Evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in building a resilient local innovation ecosystem.

This initiative directly aligns with BECEE’s mission to foster entrepreneurship and strengthen regional innovation ecosystems through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital transformation.
