The BECEE 3rd Project

The BECEE 3rd Project Partner Meeting, hosted by University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës on 17-18 March 2026, brought together project partners in Durrës for two days of intensive dialogue, collaboration, and strategic planning. The meeting served as an important milestone in assessing the project’s progress while also setting the direction for its future development and sustainability.

The first day began with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by an official welcome address from the host institution, which set a collaborative and forward-looking tone for the meeting. This was followed by a comprehensive project status update, providing partners with an overview of achievements to date and key developments across the project.

The core of Day 1 was dedicated to Work Package workshops, where partners engaged in structured discussions around Work Packages 1-4. These sessions focused on reviewing progress, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying both challenges and emerging needs within each work stream. Participants actively contributed insights from their respective institutions, ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of the project’s implementation.

The workshops continued in an interactive format, allowing partners to refine their input and prepare for the World Café session held in the afternoon. This session created a dynamic space for exchanging ideas, addressing common challenges, and co-creating solutions. Through collaborative discussions, participants were able to align their perspectives and generate concrete inputs to strengthen the project’s outcomes. The day concluded with a reflective session on key learnings, expectations, and shared priorities, followed by a networking dinner that further strengthened the partnership among institutions.

The second day built upon the momentum of the first, starting with a recap of key discussions and an introduction to the day’s objectives. A central focus was placed on the future of the BECEE Greenhouse initiative, with partners exploring opportunities to extend its lifecycle beyond the current project framework. Discussions addressed potential funding mechanisms, avenues for future applications, and strategies for sustaining the project’s impact over time. Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining strong partner engagement and ensuring continuity of results.

Further sessions were dedicated to clarifying roles, responsibilities, and communication practices, which are essential for effective coordination and successful project implementation. These discussions aimed to enhance collaboration among partners and streamline internal processes for the next phases of the project.

An important highlight of the meeting was the study visit, which provided participants with practical insights into the local context. The visit to the Port of Durrës Authority offered an overview of its operations and its relevance to regional development and sustainability. This was followed by a visit to the campus of University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës, where partners were introduced to the planned greenhouse establishment. This initiative represents a key component of the project, linking theoretical work with tangible, real-world application and reinforcing the project’s commitment to green innovation.

The meeting concluded with a final session reflecting on learnings, expectations, and next steps, before formally closing with a farewell to all higher education institution partners.

BECEE 3rd Project Partner Meeting successfully strengthened cooperation among partners, facilitated meaningful knowledge exchange, and reinforced a shared vision for advancing sustainability and innovation through the project.
