Innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking took center stage during the ZHAW Innovation Weekend, organized within the framework of the BECEE Project and hosted by ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
The event brought together students, mentors, researchers, and innovation enthusiasts in a dynamic and inspiring environment designed to foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Throughout the weekend, participants engaged in collaborative activities aimed at generating innovative ideas, addressing real-world challenges, and developing practical solutions with potential social and economic impact.
The Innovation Weekend provided a unique platform for participants to work across disciplines, exchange perspectives, and learn from experienced mentors and experts. Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and hands-on activities, students were encouraged to transform ideas into actionable concepts while strengthening key entrepreneurial and innovation-related skills.
A central objective of the event was to promote cross-institutional collaboration and create opportunities for participants to connect with peers from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. By working together on common challenges, students gained valuable experience in teamwork, creative thinking, communication, and innovation management.
The activity reflects the broader mission of the BECEE Project, which seeks to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems within higher education by fostering collaboration between universities, industry, researchers, and regional stakeholders. Through initiatives such as the Innovation Weekend, BECEE supports the development of entrepreneurial mindsets and empowers participants to become active contributors to sustainable and innovation-driven societies.
Beyond the development of innovative ideas, the event also created an environment where participants could build new networks, exchange knowledge, and gain inspiration from one another. The enthusiasm, creativity, and engagement demonstrated throughout the weekend highlighted the importance of experiential learning and collaborative innovation in addressing contemporary societal challenges.
The ZHAW Innovation Weekend stands as another successful example of how international cooperation can create meaningful learning experiences and strengthen entrepreneurship across higher education institutions.
The BECEE consortium congratulates all participants, mentors, and organizers who contributed to making the event a valuable and impactful experience.
